PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an information processing device which is dynamically capable of program correction and so on, which is capable of achieving high-speed processing at a low cost and which does not cause constraint on the starting of a program; a function providing method; and a program. SOLUTION: In an information processing apparatus 10, a function providing part 37 provides a function by utilizing the service of a service providing part 38. The information processing apparatus 10 has a management part 43 which stores first service identification information of the service providing part 38, which is utilized by the function providing part 37 at the starting time of the function providing part 37, and second service identification information of the service providing part 38 at the starting time of the service providing part. The management part 43 imparts the user information to identify the function providing part 37 to the service providing part 38 of the second service identification information that corresponds to the first service identification information.
