The invention relates to a non-destructive method (6) for determining the level of porosity of a part (2) made of a composite material by means of at least one ultrasonic transducer (100), the level of porosity of said part being estimated by comparing the attenuation by the part (2) of an ultrasonic wave emitted by the at least one ultrasonic transducer with at least one reference attenuation of an ultrasonic wave from said at least one ultrasonic transducer by a reference specimen representative of a known level of porosity of the composite of the part (2). According to the invention, the at least one reference attenuation is calculated between a wave function representative of an ultrasonic wave emitted by said at least one ultrasonic transducer (100) and the result of a filtering calculation carried out on said wave function by a transfer function representative of frequency attenuations undergone by ultrasonic waves passing through the reference specimen. The invention also relates to a device (1) for implementing the method (6). |
