A process for cleansing a gas, which is supplied from a pressure vessel to a user via valves, comprises passing the gas through a cleansing material (14) before it leaves the pressure vessel (2).After the gas has passed through the cleansing material, it is pref. fed through a filter which is non-porous to the cleansing material.
