<p>A method and system for avoiding endless loop in flexible alert service are disclosed in the present invention. An originating Mobile Switched Center (MSC) transmits a location request message including a first Termination Access Type (TAT) parameter to the corresponding Home Location Register (HLR) based on a guide number in a call request of a calling user, and the HLR returns a response of the first location request to the originating MSC based on the first TAT parameter; when there is a prepaid user in the members of the Flexible Alert (FA) service group, the originating MSC transmits a location request message including a second TAT parameter to the HLR, and the HLR returns a response of the second location request to the originating MSC based on the second TAT parameter, then the originating MSC sets up a call to the prepaid user according to the response of the second location request. The present invention resolves the problems of endless loop during MSC transmitting a location request, when there is one or more prepaid members in the FA group and the member number is same with the FA group number.</p> |
