PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pan for internal combustion engine, capable of further suitably attaining both improvement in rigidity and suppression of generation of bubbles in the oil pan, and an internal combustion engine provided with the same. SOLUTION: The oil pan 30 is mounted on a cylinder block 21 having a return oil passage opened to the oil pan 30. The oil pan 30 includes a fixing section 31 to be attached to the cylinder block 21 and a first reinforcing section 82 and a second reinforcing section 83 continued to the fixing section 31. As a part of the first reinforcing section 82, a first oil receiving part 84 is provided in the falling direction of lubricating oil flowing out of a first return oil passage 25. As a part of the second reinforcing section 83, a second oil receiving part 85 is provided in the falling direction of lubricating oil flowing out of a second return oil passage 26.
