<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component-supplying apparatus, component-mounting apparatus, method of supplying components, positioning device, and positioning method that can correct displacement in component-supplying position, even if gears which are to be used in a transmission mechanism, such as speed reducers have a manufacturing dimensional errors. <P>SOLUTION: A tape feeder 100 includes a sprocket 106 provided rotatively at one end of a chassis; and a rotation-driving mechanism 130 for driving the sprocket 106. The rotation-driving mechanism 130 is so configured that the driving force of a motor 131 is transmitted to the sprocket 106 via a transmission mechanism 140. Based on a prediction model formula that indicates periodic changes in electronic component supplying position caused by the transmission mechanism 140, the amount of displacement in the electronic component supplying position is predicted. Thus, even if there is manufacturing dimensional errors in gears used in the transmission mechanism 140, a component-mounting apparatus 10 or the tape feeder 100 compensates for the amount of displacement, based on the information about the amount of displacement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
