PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front connecting mechanism capable of adjusting the position of a front portion of a sliding panel with respect to an opening part of a fixed roof panel, and allowing the sliding panel and a functional bracket to be hardly built with any deviation at the front portion of the sliding panel. SOLUTION: An adjusting lever 71 of a front connection mechanism FCM1 is connected to a panel bracket 21 at an intermediate supporting part 71a via a connection pin 74 which is integrally movable in the longitudinal direction and in the vertical direction, and relatively movable by the predetermined amount in the right-to-left direction, and connected to a front end supporting part 71b movably in the longitudinal direction and tiltably in the vertical direction with respect to a functional bracket 50, and connected to the functional bracket 50 via a screw member 72 and a nut member 73 screwed thereto at a rear end connection part 71c. When the screw member 72 is loosened from the nut member 73, the rear end connection part 71c of the adjusting lever 71 is movable in the longitudinal direction and in the vertical direction with respect to the functional bracket 50.
