摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic encoder capable of inexpensively acquiring a high magnetic force and performing highly accurate, stable, and speedy detection and to provide a bearing device for wheels equipped with the same. SOLUTION: The magnetic encoder 12 is constituted of a plurality of disk-like magnetic rubbers 12a-12c in which a magnetic powder is mixed in an elastomer and magnetic poles N and S are previously, alternately arranged at regular intervals along the circumference; a slinger 24 provided with a cylindrical part 24a press-fitted in a rotation-side member, a raised plate part 24b extending outward from an end part of the cylindrical part 24a in a radial direction, and a cylindrical flange part 24c extending in an axial direction; and a cover 25 provided with both of a cylindrical part 25a fitted over and fixed to the flange part 24c and a disk part 25b extending from an end part of the cylindrical part 25a in an radial direction. The magnetic rubbers 12a-12c are layered with the phases of magnetic poles N and S matched with one another. The magnetic rubbers 12a-12c are guided by the flange part 24c in a radial direction and integrally fixed in such a way as to be held between the raised plate part 24b and the disk part 25b.
