<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a level of pregnancy-associated plasma protein (PAPP-A) in serum for diagnoses in all development stages of symptoms of inflammatory conditions, in particular, acute coronary syndromes (unstable angina, acute cardiac infarction, sudden cardiac death, coronary plaque rupture or thrombosis). <P>SOLUTION: An antibody specific to the PAPP-A is used to measure a level of the PAPP-A in a biological sample by an immunoassay. Positron emission tomography,γ-scintigraphy, single photon emission tomography analysis, magnetic resonance imaging, intravascular ultrasound or functional magnetic resonance imaging is used as diagnostic images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
