PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which appropriately photographs regions to be observed without overlooking them. SOLUTION: A model image MI of an image to be diagnosed is prepared. Respective parts of an organ to be diagnosed are photographed by an ultrasonic probe, and concurrently the photographing time is accumulated for each part of the organ to be diagnosed. The respective parts of the model image MI are color-coded in accordance with the accumulated value and are displayed on a color display with a present position of a probe image PI. An ultrasonic image presently photographed by the ultrasonic probe is also displayed on the display. Since a user can visually know the photographing history of the respective parts of the organ by the differences in colors, the regions to be observed are appropriately photographed by the ultrasound without overleaping them.
