PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple transplanter which manually drives planting, supply of seedlings to the planting part, transportation, and seedling tray movement, and can plant on a ridge and even on a ridge covered with a multi-sheet, and to provide a planting device. SOLUTION: The simple manual transplanter is provided with: the planting device composed of a bucket having an opening for principally taking in and out the root part of the seedling, and a separator which is freely swingably attached in the bucket and, after inserted to the ground, temporally swings to be released with the seedling to remain the root part in the soil, wherein a plurality of the buckets are attached, with spaces according to the planting spaces, on a wheel manually rotating the planting device on the ridge, to make the opening in the reverse direction to the rotation; and a linking means for driving a seedling transfer device feeding the seedlings in the buckets by torque of the wheel.
