<p>The method involves emitting a focused light beam (14) into foam by a light source i.e. laser (13), where the foam is formed after filling of fluid into a beverage bottle or before closing of the bottle. Contour of light spots (17a, 17b) generated in the foam by the light beam is determined by using a measuring device i.e. camera, where the light source is arranged laterally to the bottle. Data about the bottle is stored in a memory of a computer, and the determined contour of the light spots is compared with the stored data. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining thickness of foam.</p> |
