PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF 2-FLUOROACRYLIC ESTERS

Provided is a process for the preparation of 2-fluoroacrylic esters, which comprises: a bromination step of reacting a 2-fluoropropionic ester with a brominating agent having a nitrogen-bromine bond in the presence of a radical initiator, and thereby converting the 2-fluoropropionic ester into a 2-bromo-2-fluoropropionic ester; and a dehydrobromination step of reacting the 2-bromo-2-fluoropropionic ester with a base. This process necessitates neither very low temperature conditions nor stoichiometric use of an expensive reactant. Thus, objective 2-fluoroacrylic esters can be produced at a low cost.
