<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for control of an electric vehicle, capable of preventing deterioration of a battery without deteriorating efficiency of energy and fuel consumption of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 5 for control of the electric vehicle includes an electric power generation device 1, a power charging device 2 for charging electric power generated by the power generation device 1, and a driving device 3 to be driven by the electric power charged in the power charging device 2. The apparatus 5 has an electrically charged amount detection means (S201) for detecting electrically charged amount of the power charging device 2, a power consumption detection means (S204) for detecting power consumption of the vehicle 10, a target generating power setting means (S205 to S207) for setting target generating power of the electric power generating device 1 to larger one of electric power in which power generation efficiency of the electric power generating device 1 becomes the maximum and power consumption of the vehicle 10 when the electrically charged amount becomes to be smaller than a predetermined threshold, and power generation controlling means (S215) for controlling the electric power generating device 1 based on the set target generating power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
