[Class 132 (iii)] The steering surface of a shuttlecock comprises a ribbon 3 of light, soft and somewhat porous textile fabric, e.g. silk, fastened by glue or other suitable means to the inside or outside of a number of bearers 2, of birdquills preferably goose quills, or a similar light, strong and elastic material, equidistantly inserted into openings in the rear end of the head 1, and connected together in the usual way by sewing &c. Alternatively an inner and an outer ribbon may be used. |
