PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding-top desk which is designed to permit a stopper member to be made stronger, the top to be surely held in a locking position, and the top to be easily locked and released from locking. SOLUTION: The locking device 21 of the top 1 is provided with a fixed stopper member 25 fastened to the counter sides of front and rear connecting rods 5 and 6 connecting right and left side legs and having engagingly stopping portions 33 on the top face, an operating lever 24 provided movably back and forth on the underside of the top 1, and a movement stopper member 38 provided movably back and forth together with the top 1 and movably up and down in cooperation with the back and forth movement of the operating lever 24 with respect to the top 1 and engagingly stopping on the engagingly stopping portions 33 when the operating lever 24 is not operated.
