PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a windshield device for a room air conditioner preventing air of the air conditioner from directly hitting a person without lowering air conditioning capacity and enabling comfortable heating and cooling all the time. SOLUTION: A panel base body 10 having a pseudo large bracket shape in plane view is formed by bending fixed width near both side edges of a thin plate-shaped member to one direction, and is erected and installed on an indoor floor surface so that the bent side opposes to an air conditioner fitting wall surface 30. A slide panel 20 having a pseudo large bracket shape in plane view is vertically slidably superposed on the upper part of the panel base body 10.
