PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission belt superior in durability, by preventing damage of rings in installation. SOLUTION: This transmission belt B is constituted by binding a row of elements E by fitting two rings Ra and Rb in a recessed part 7, by annularly aligning a large number of elements E of a plate piece shape of forming the recessed part 7 for storing the belt-like two rings Ra and Rb in parallel in the width direction by turning the opening direction of the recessed part 7 toward the outer peripheral side. A protective film 14 lower in hardness than a basis material of the respective rings Ra and Rb, is formed in an end part Re in the width direction of the respective rings Ra and Rb.
