PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and properly measure an earplug sound insulation effect in response to the individual difference of an auditory level. SOLUTION: An earplug sound insulation effect measuring instrument measures an earplug sound insulation effect, based on a minimum audible sound pressure level measured in mounting earplugs and a minimum audible sound pressure level measured without mounting the earplugs. The instrument includes: an auditory sense measuring means for measuring a sound pressure level V1 where the sound falls off into silence in a subject and a sound pressure level V2 where the sound starts to be heard by the subject, in a process where a test sound pressure level presented to the subject is gradually lowered, and then, raised, and obtaining the minimum audible sound pressure level, based on the average of the sound pressure levels; and a sound pressure level increasing means for increasing by prescribed widthαthe test sound pressure level to be presented to the subject when the auditory sense measurement is started. The increase widthαof the sound pressure level is set by an operator. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
