The device has a removal line (2) branched from an exhaust pipe (1) of an internal combustion engine for removal of an exhaust gas mixture from the pipe. A throttle valve (3) is arranged downstream of the branching of the removal line from the exhaust pipe, and a dosing line (4) ends into the removal line for supplying lubricating medium containing-calibrating fluid. A connection line (8) to a mass spectrometer (9) is branched from the removal line, and a flow rate determining device (10) is arranged in the removal line for determining a flow rate of exhaust gas through the removal line.
