METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING HEPATIC CIRRHOSIS AND/OR FIBROSIS IN PATIENTS INFECTED WITH HCV OR COINFECTED WITH HIV AND HCV

The present invention relates to the field of the clinical diagnosis and prognosis of hepatic fibrosis. More specifically, the present invention relates to methods for joint quantification of the MMP2 and ASP markers and of the number of platelets in patients infected with HCV or in patients coinfected with HIV and HCV, for use in various methods for diagnosing the presence of hepatic fibrosis or hepatic cirrhosis in said patients. The invention likewise relates to a diagnostic kit for implementing said methods. The invention also relates to a computer program capable of implementing an algorithm based on the introduction of pre-determined values of MMP2, ASP and of the number of platelets with a view to ascertaining a diagnosis of the presence of hepatic fibrosis in patients with HCV or coinfected with HIV and HCV, and also for determining the stage of the disease(s). Lastly, the invention relates to an electronic apparatus that incorporates said computer program and that is capable of implementing said program.
