PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method for controlling data transceiving are provided to set a data preference mode when preferred execution conditions are satisfied in a hybrid mode, thereby safely transceiving data without interruptions to a call signal transceiving operation. CONSTITUTION: When a data transceiving operation of a wireless communication unit(110) satisfies preferred execution conditions, a controller(180) executes the data transceiving operation by a data preference mode before a call signal transceiving operation. The wireless communication unit executes the data transceiving operation first when sensing the call signal transceiving operation by the data preference mode.
