<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power output apparatus etc., that makes variation in rotation speed of an internal combustion engine more suitable when a request to reduce the speed of a driving shaft is made while fuel reduction is inhibited so as to suppress catalyst deterioration. <P>SOLUTION: When a request to reduce the rotation speed of a ring gear shaft is made while the fuel reduction is inhibited so as to suppress the catalyst deterioration, the engine and motors MG1, MG2 are controlled (S160 to S200) so that the rotation speed Ne of an engine decreases to a rotation speed Nidle, and torque based on requested torque Tr* is obtained in connection with negative torque output from a motor MG1 and fuel injection. When the rotation speed Ne reaches the idle rotation speed Nidle, the engine and motors MG1, MG2 are controlled (S220, S170 to S200) so that the rotation speed Ne is held at the rotation speed Nidle, and the torque based on the requested torque Tr* is obtained in connection with the torque output from the motor MG1 and fuel injection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
