FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for centering and clamping tubular articles made, preferably, from alloyed steel and intended for butt welding in protective atmosphere to produce pipeline. Proposed device comprises appliance to center and clamp two pipes, chamber with sealed partitions and appliances to feed inert gas to butt joint surface area. Besides this device comprises appliance to control inert gas flow rate and/or gas feed pressure depending upon oxygen content measured in real time, and/or gas pressure measured in said protective gas in real time. Said control appliances allow maintaining oxygen content in said protective atmosphere and/or pressure below preset threshold level. ^ EFFECT: efficient control over welding parametres in real time conditions. ^ 15 cl, 2 dwg |
