PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas analyzer which uses laser suction method that can improve the noise resistance and also improve the reliability in handling properties. SOLUTION: In this laser suction method-based exhaust gas analyzer, exhaust gas discharged from engine is irradiated with laser beam; signal light transmitted through the exhaust gas is received in a light receiving element; and the signal received in the light-receiving element is processed by using two optical path differences method or one optical path difference method to analyze components of the exhaust gas, based on the processed signal. After a signal amplifier 7 (preamplifier) has amplified the signal received in the light-receiving element 6 up to a level which is not affected by environmental noise, a voltage difference amplifier 8 obtains the difference signal from the amplified signal and then analyzes it, to further analyze components of the exhaust gas.
