PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive device which responds to a write command without any delay. SOLUTION: An optical disk drive 10 includes a memory 14 having less write delay than an optical disk PD does. When acquiring a write command to write data in a specific area on the optical disk PD from a host device, the optical disk drive writes the data in the memory 14 and notifies the host device of write completion.
