The invention relates to wind power plants, wherein an airfoil, using side rudders bringing about independent alignment of the airfoil to the wind direction, periodically slides upward or downward due to the wind force in an upward or downward direction, wherein the direction of motion of the airfoil is changed by tipping or rotating at the reversal points at the ends of the mast equipped with appropriate technical means. The airfoil thus generates kinetic energy in both phases of motion, which can be converted into electrical energy directly by means of a linear generator, or into mechanical energy by means of ropes, chains, or the like and optionally into electrical energy by means of a generator. Existing chimneys, ship and other types of masts, and trees can be used as the mast. |
