PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for inspecting a connection state between a terminal group provided at the side of a liquid ejecting apparatus and a terminal group provided at the side of a liquid container without separately providing a terminal for inspecting the connection state. SOLUTION: A liquid container includes a container-side terminal group and a diode connected in a direction from a container-side grounding terminal to a container-side signal terminal. A liquid-ejecting-apparatus body includes a body-side terminal group, a switch provided between a body-side grounding terminal and a grounding conductor, and an inspection part. The switch is turned off so as to make impedance from the body-side grounding terminal to the grounding conductor higher than that of when executing data transfer between the container-side signal terminal and the body-side signal terminal. The inspection part supplies a power-supply voltage to a body-side power-supply terminal so as to inspect at least one or more potential of the potential of the body-side signal terminal and the potential of the body-side grounding terminal.
