PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a compressor repeats on/off operations since a capacity of the compressor disposed in an outdoor unit cannot be reduced when a small number of indoor units are operated in a heating operation. SOLUTION: A bypass passage bypassing a gas pipe and a liquid pipe is disposed to solve the problem. The refrigerant partially flows to the bypass passage when only a small number of indoor units are operated in the heating operation, thus the amount of the refrigerant flowing into the indoor units is reduced, and a heating capacity is lowered without stopping the compressor.
