A method for modernization of a separation gas unit includes disassembly of structural elements of separator. The structural elements located inside the separator are dismantled. The disassembled structural elements are removed from the interior space of separator through a manhole. The separation device, mounting rails, an adapter and adapting pipes are located in the internal space of separator. The separation device is rigidly attached by fastening beams to at least one support element and the inlet nozzle of separation device is connected to the inlet nozzle of separator by the adapter.
