PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drape which is prevented from being entangled with a cover body and does not obstruct the twisting operation of an endoscope, and an endoscope apparatus provided with the drape. SOLUTION: The drape 120 covers the cover body 89 comprising a drive part 40 connected with the endoscope 20 for driving the endoscope 20, a holding part 60 for holding the endoscope 20 through the drive part 40, and a soft body 87 connected with the endoscope 20 and disposed on the side of the drive part 40 and on the side of the holding part 60. The drape 120 is provided with an entanglement preventing mechanism 130 for preventing the entanglement of the drape 120 with the cover body 89 when an insertion part 21 disposed on the endoscope 20 is rotated in the circumferential direction of the longitudinal axis direction of the endoscope 20.
