The method involves changing torque produced by an electrically propellable prime mover (12) during interference caused by pre-determined driver assistance systems (20, 22). The electrically propellable prime mover is controlled by a control unit (26) during wheel-individual braking by the driver assistance systems such that drive moment is produced. The prime mover is controlled by the control unit during drive-moment-reducing interference by the assistance systems such that brake torque is produced. The prime mover is operated as a generator when producing the brake torque. The driver assistance systems are designed as a drive slip regulation system or a vehicle stabilization system.
