A body structure (1) of a rolling stock includes outer side plates (11) and an end structure (3). The outer side plates (11) are provided, respectively, at the opposite ends of an underframe (2) in the vehicle width direction. The end structure (3) has outer end plates (7) and corner posts (5). The outer end plates (7) are provided, respectively, at the front and rear ends of the underframe (2), and the corner posts (5) are provided, respectively, at four corners of the underframe (2) and joined to the outer end plate (7) and the outer side plate (11). Furthermore, the corner post (5) has a joint (14d) on the side plate side which is superimposed on the front end of the outer side plate (11) from the outside in the vehicle width direction and joined to the outer side plate (11).
