PURPOSE: An aluminium alloy strip and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to minimize defects such as crack and improve the yield strength and elongation of an aluminium alloy strip by controlling the solid/liquid interface of molten metal into an asymmetrical form. CONSTITUTION: An aluminium alloy strip, made of the same composition as the commercial AA5083 alloy, has a grain size of 10~20μm, a precipitate of Al6Mn, a tensile strength of 339.6MPa or greater, a yield strength of 260.7 MPa or greater, and an elongation of 23.6% or greater. A method for manufacturing the aluminium alloy strip comprises steps of: forming an alloy plate through continuous casting of molten metal, rolling the alloy plate, and heat treating the alloy plate to form a precipitate.
