PURPOSE: A protector for a particulate matter detecting device and a pipe-shaped structure for fixing a particulate matter detecting device with the protector are provided to prevent a particulate matter detecting device from cooling by the flow of the exhaust gas within a pipe. CONSTITUTION: A protector(100) for a particulate matter detecting device comprises a cylinder-shaped main body(1), a protector body(4), a gas inlet(5), a gas outlet, and an inlet guide plate. The gas inlet passes through the wall of the main body and lets gas from the outside to the inside. The gas outlet discharges the gas from the inside to the outside. The inlet guide plate is extended to the inside of the main body.
