摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicular continuously variable transmission controlled by transmission solenoid valves, the control device suitably preventing hunting occurring during a downshift. SOLUTION: When a continuously variable transmission 18 is switched from upshift to downshift, a differential pressure calculating means 168 calculates the differential pressure Pdiff between a thrust ratio controlling hydraulic pressure Pτoutput from the output port 118t of a thrust ratio control valve 118 designed to communicate with a driving hydraulic actuator 42c via a transmission ratio control valve DN116 and the transmission pressure Pin of the driving hydraulic actuator 42c. A downshift switching control means 164 controls a solenoid valve DS1 and a solenoid valve DS2 based on the differential pressure Pdiff and can thus suitably prevent the hunting that could occur when the continuously variable transmission 18 shifts gears.
