PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel economy by reducing a speed of a car performing an up-shift operation. SOLUTION: An automatic transmission is controlled so as to perform an up-shift operation when a car speed has increased to or beyond a car speed regulated by an up-shift line. An ECT-ECU runs a program containing a step of correcting the up-shift line so that if a car acceleration is not less than a predetermined one (YES at S108), the car speed regulated by the up-shift line decreases.
