PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the replacement of a shock absorber without the need for special equipment, special tools and large-scale works. SOLUTION: In a suspension device in which a cylinder body 31 in the shock absorber 3 formed in a cartridge form is housed in an outer cylinder 2 whose lower end is connected to a knuckle bracket 1 connected to a wheel T side of a vehicle and whose upper end extends upwardly and the upper end portion of a rod body 32 in the shock absorber 3 projecting from inside the cylinder body 31 is separably connected to the vehicle body side B of the vehicle, the opening at the lower end of the outer cylinder 2 has a diameter allowing the cylinder body 31 to be inserted and the lower end or lower end portion of the cylinder body 31 housed in the outer cylinder 2 is configured to be separably supported at the lower end portion in the outer cylinder 2 when a support means 10 is disposed.
