<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device equipped with a ramp mechanism, in which a foreign matter attached to a floating plane of a slider during operation is surely removed by utilizing the ramp mechanism. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A storage device is equipped with a ramp mechanism 10 in which a slider 53 can be retracted to the outside of a disk by holding a distal end part of a load beam 50 to which the slider 50 provided with a magnetic head is attached. In the ramp mechanism 10, a cleaning position HC is provided on a side being remote from a disk 4 with respect to a retraction position P of the slider 53, a cleaning plate 21 provided with a contact plane which can be contacted with a whole floating plane of the slider 53 when the slider 53 is in the cleaning position H, is provided in the vicinity of the ramp mechanism 10, and a heater is incorporated in the cleaning plate 21.
