<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveguide device capable of obtaining desired reflection characteristics and transmission characteristics over wide bands. <P>SOLUTION: The waveguide device comprises a first rectangular waveguide 21 and a second waveguide rectangular 31. The first rectangular waveguide 21 has an H plane with a width (a) of which one end is closed with a wall surface. The second rectangular waveguide 31 is provided at a position, when an arbitrary wavelength is defined as λg, away from the wall surface of the first rectangular waveguide just for λg/2 in a center axis direction of the first rectangular waveguide. The second rectangular waveguide 31 has an H plane of a width (a) while being connected to the first rectangular waveguide in such a way that its center axis is made orthogonal with that of the first rectangular waveguide. In the first rectangular waveguide, a matching duct 22 is formed in a block from the position away from the wall surface just for λg/2 to a position away from the wall surface just for 3λg/4. A width of the matching conduit is determined so as to satisfy Z=√Z1×Z2 when characteristic impedance of the first rectangular waveguide is defined as Z<SB>1</SB>and characteristic impedance of the second rectangular waveguide, which is converted by a connecting point of the first rectangular waveguide and the second rectangular waveguide, watched from the first rectangular waveguide is defined as Z<SB>2</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
