PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door unit, facilitating installation of a sliding door. SOLUTION: The sliding door unit 1 includes the sliding door 2 slidably opening and closing an opening part 4, and a door case 3 housing the sliding door when the opening part is opened. A cutout stepped part 32 is formed on an opening part-side edge portion 30 of the door pocket along the longitudinal direction, and a cover member 5 for shielding the cutout stepped part is attached thereto.
