PURPOSE: A method for enhancing methionine solubility is provided to minimize the amount of minerals contained in a methionine solution. CONSTITUTION: A method for enhancing methionine solubility comprises: a step of adding a mineral containing bivalent metal ion to a solution containing methionine; and a step of treating the solution with acid. The bivalent metal ion is iron sulfide, manganese sulfide, or zinc sulfide. The acid is sulfuric acid. The solution containing methionine is a solution containing DL-methionine or L-methionine. A mineral containing the bivalent metal ion is contained at a ratio of 1:1(mol:mol)-1:2 (mol:mol) based on methionine.
