The present invention discloses a belt shock absorber for tower belt-driven pumping unit, including a retaining plate (1), the retaining plate (1) is connected with a rocker bearing (3) through a pin bolt (2), the rocker bearing (3) is screw connected to a rocker (4), the top of the rocker (4) is screw connected to a weight (5). The present invention is featured by adding shock absorber on the belt, purposefully increasing damp on the vertical surface of the belt and reducing the inherent frequency of belt vibration. By doing so, the wind shift can be avoided or reduced under equal wind power, and the anti-wind ability of belt can be enhanced. Consequently, the stability of sucker rod and christmas tree can be strengthened, the eccentric wear of packing for sealing wellhead and fatigue fracture of sucker rod being prevented, and then changes brought to oil well and production is avoided.
