Disclosed is the use of an 11-deoxy-prostaglandin compound for the manufacturing of a composition for treating a central nervous system disorder in a mammalian subject, which comprises and effective amount of the 11-deoxy-prostoglandin compound represented by formula (III), wherein the substituents are defined in the specification. Also disclosed is a compound of formula (IV).
