The method involves determining exact position of a vehicle by a positioning system, and storing signals for controlling and/or regulating an active chassis with position coordinates in a data storage. A road section is analyzed with respect to surface quality of the road section and the signals for controlling and/or regulating the active chassis. Signals for controlling and/or regulating the active chassis are determined by the signals stored in the data storage with a vehicle simulation model depending on the surface quality of the road section.
