<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide device for a passenger conveyor capable of transmitting the moving direction of footsteps of a passenger conveyor to various users including a visually disabled person. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This guide device for a passenger conveyor includes: an entrance getting-on plate 13 and an exit getting-off plate 13 provided in an entrance and an exit of a passenger conveyor; a plurality of speakers 36 for an entrance arranged under the entrance getting-on plate 13 along the moving direction X of footsteps 6; a plurality of speakers 36 for an exit arranged under the exit getting-off plate 13 along the moving direction X of the footsteps 6; and a control section for operating the speakers 36 for an entrance in order from a rear side to a front side in the moving direction X of the footsteps 6 with a predetermined time interval and for operating the speakers 36 for an exit in order from the rear side to the front side in the moving direction X of the footsteps 6 with a predetermined time interval.
