摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intense optical electromagnetic field generator capable of generating an intense optical electromagnetic field having superior stability, high quality, and intensity much higher than those of conventional types. SOLUTION: The intense optical electromagnetic field generator is provided in an optical oscillator utilizing chirped pulse amplification. The optical oscillator includes an optical amplification medium 1, which has an ability to convert optical energy for a wide band or multiple bands and performs optical energy conversion into light oscillating from an optical resonator; a negative dispersive element 2 which gives negative dispersion to a pulsed light that is the oscillating light; a mode-lock unit 3, which gives mode-lock action to the pulsed light; a positive dispersive element 4, which gives positive dispersion to the pulsed light; an optical system; and a vacuum chamber 11, which accommodates at least the negative dispersive element 2, the mode-lock unit 3 and the positive dispersive element 4. The pulsed light from the negative dispersive element 2 or the positive dispersive element 4 is captures, to form an intense optical electromagnetic field generation point (micro-focus point) 28 in the vacuum chamber 11.
