摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focal point detection technique capable of improving AF accuracy by reducing the influence of distortion due to an optical system in a focal point detector. SOLUTION: The focal point detector includes: a condenser lens for transmitting a light image from a photographic optical system; and a distance measurement sensor group for receiving a luminous flux which has passed through the condenser lens. The distance measurement sensor group includes a distance measurement sensor pair (C312 and C322) for receiving divided beams of the luminous flux for a focus detection region which is located off the center of a shooting region. The focus detection region is set to extend in a first direction in the shooting region from a position where the focus detection region is spaced from the center in the first direction and also in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The distance measurement sensor pair (C312 and C322) are spaced from each other and arranged at different angles in the direction associated with the first direction on the sensor arrangement surface.
