PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To concentrate a sound wave upon a center of a cylindrical or square vessel in a sonoreactor wherein an acoustic chemical reaction by ultrasonic can be efficiently effected. SOLUTION: Arcuated piezoelectric ceramics 14, 15 are bonded to a side surface of a cylindrical vessel 13 in opposition to each other. Silica glasses 16, 17 are attached via packings 18, 19 to a dent of an inside of a flange of the cylindrical vessel 13, and the silica glasses 16, 17 are fixed from above by pressers 20, 21. In such a sonoreactor, since a sound wave is focused to the inside of the cylindrical vessel 13 by arcuated piezoelectric ceramics 14 and 15, a strong sound field can be formed in a liquid to be treated which is sealed in the cylindrical container 13, the handling relating to control of the sound field is easy even though it is of a focussed type, and further a reaction of the liquid to be treated can be observed through the silica glass 16 or 17 attached to the one side of the cylindrical container 13.
