<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an urethane resin and a coating, capable of giving a coated film having an excellent performance on the surface of every members such as a natural leather, an imitation leather such as a synthetic imitation leather and an artificial leather, a TPO and a thermoplastic polyurethane for a slush molding. <P>SOLUTION: A siloxane-modified urethane resin containing at least a hydroxy group and a hydrophilic group in the same molecule is obtained by allowing a compound having at least one active hydrogen-containing group and a hydrophilic group other than a hydroxy group in a molecule, an amino alcohol having at least one hydroxy group and at least one amino group in a molecule, a polyol and/or a polyamine, a polysiloxane having at least one active hydrogen-containing group and a polyisocyanate to react so that all active hydrogen-containing group and isocyanate group may react by molar ratio of NCO/OH=0.9 to 1.1.
